First Blog of a New Travel Season, A Weekend in Devon
My weekend to Devon was blessed with brilliant sunshine and stunning views of the Exe Estuary. This was coming home for me and it really enthused me to take some inspirational shots of places that have been some of my happiest memories.

Lympstone is a timeless old fishing village set on the estuary of the Exe and was where I came every summer for my school holidays to spend time with my Dad & my wonderful Step-Mother, Pauline, who still lives nearby in Exmouth.

And this was my fathers charming but tiny cottage which remains much as it was when he lived there.

There is a very close community here

and of course there is the Sailing Club!

And when the tide is out!, then there is all the silt!

But fishing still continues here on a small scale and cockles are a particular favourite if you know where to search.

And at the end of the day, having taken in all this breath taking beauty, it can be very thirsty work........ for everyone !!
